Why God did not stop Satan or stop suffering

1) Why did God allow Satan to get to Eve knowing that this was going to cause suffering, death, and separation?

God is almighty and this is seen in his creation work including the garden of Eden and mankind. He is also a God who allows for freedom of choice and free will. Because of this, God gives us all instructions we need to make good choices but leaves the choices to us, for instance, God told man clearly that he should not eat on the tree of knowledge of good and evil, ‘’ but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die."(Genesis 2:17). We now see that the problem is not that Satan walked into the garden; the problem is that man disobeyed. Can you imagine if man had stayed on God’s instructions, the kind of bliss mankind would live in?

2) If God is all loving and all powerful, in his love why does he not stop human suffering?

God’s love for mankind cannot be questioned especially in view of the sacrificial love he showed by giving his only begotten son to die on the cross, John 15:13 ‘Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends’. His power is visible through creation and all other acts of God every day. The suffering we have can be traced back to the fall of man and the consequences of that fall which include pain in labor, sweat for work, death and of course the prevalence of sin.’ All these aspects of the fall perpetuate suffering, yet in the middle of them we see God’s love to redeem mankind. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.’ (Romans 8:22). I would then say, God’s love and power remains, although suffering on the other hand still stays as well.
